A word from the French goat's cheese ambassador!

Award-winning chef Sophie Wright is the French goat's cheese Ambassador. She says, "This is the third year that I am proud to be the UK's ambassador for French goat's cheese. French goat's cheese (or chèvre in French) is a fantastic show-stopper on a cheese board, but I also think that it is a really good all-rounder ingredient which can brighten up a dull dish with its style and flavour any day of the year.
In these days of economic gloom we are always looking at ways of making our budgets stretch. But that doesn't mean we have to sacrifice taste. Here at Easy Cheesey Chèvre Towers I've put together a set of delicious recipes using French goat's cheeses which are not only easy to make, but won't break the bank.
This years's recipes include a scrummy French goat's cheese camembert, sweet potato and prosciutto salad flavoured with cumin and chilli to give it that extra kick – ideal for a taste-bud tingling starter at a dinner party, or just as a lunch-time treat; chèvre mini-log, rosemary and green olive muffins which are so on-trend this year and are delicious eaten still slightly warm with unsalted butter; and my version of a super-easy and super-cheap veggie lasagne featuring the dynamic duo of French goat's cheese log and chestnut mushrooms, a flavour match made in heaven.
I really hope that these easy-to-follow and good value meals will inspire you to experiment with French goat's cheese. No butts (geddit?!) it's got to be one of the most versatile ingredients that gives an immediate boost to flavour and style, and all for a good price too."
